Draymond Green was a beast in the second game of the second round of the Warriors' second round against the Rockets.

The defensive player of the year 2017 NBA recorded 15 points, 12 rebounds, seven assists and two interceptions, while the Golden State had won 115-109 to take a two-game lead to draw.

"I want Draymond Green to be here forever," Warrior owner Joe Lacob told Marcus Thompson of The Athletic after the win. "He's as warrior as they come."

After Thursday's practice, the All-NBA's two-time selection has had the following exchanges with a reporter:

Journalist: "Do you see what Joe Lacob said?"

Draymond: "Yes, I saw it."

Journalist: "What do you think?"

Draymond: "I was told that, I said that, I want to be here."

Journalist: "Does it make you feel good?"

Draymond: "Of course it makes you feel good, absolutely."

Draymond is right. He said it would be great to play for the Warriors throughout his career.

He is expected to become an unrestricted free agent in July 2020, but he is eligible for a contract extension this summer.

The biggest extension that he could sign is about $ 129 million over five years, which would start with the 2020-21 season and look like this:
2020-2021: $ 22,246,956
2021-22: $ 24,026,712
2022-23: $ 25,806,469
2023-24: $ 27,586,225
2024-25: $ 29,365,982

Will the Warriors want Draymond to be in the books at this price when he turns 35 in 2025? This part is not clear.

The parties could agree on an extension of four years (or even three or two) that would bring him a little less than $ 100 million. Draymond could also refuse an extension together (as he did last summer) and test free will in a little over a year from now.

But do not worry about all this at this point. Get ready for the third game in Houston on Saturday night.
