The 2021 Cannes Film Festival was filled with big Hollywood names and exciting red carpet fashion. Over the past week, the actor Tilda swinton made headlines for her stunning looks, and on her last red carpet, Swinton not only brought her A-game outfit, but she also brought her daughter, 23 Honor to Swinton Byrne. On July 14, Tilda Swinton attended the premiere of The Olympics (Paris, 13th arrondissement) and beside him was his daughter, Honor Swinton Byrne. Swinton wore an oversized white button down shirt while her daughter wore a blazer and mini skirt. The couple walked the red carpet together for the last time in Cannes in 2019.

Swinton shares the honor with his former partner, playwright John Byrne, with whom she was from 1989 to 2003. They also have a son, Xavier Swinton Byrne, who is Honor’s twin brother.

Tilda Swinton’s accomplished career as an actor was not something Honor always wanted to emulate. In May 2019, she said W that the thought of being an actor didn’t even cross his mind until he was given an opportunity. “It never occurred to me that I would be remote… valuable for that,” Honor said. However, once her godmother and director Joanna hogg asked him to star in the movie Memory, she said yes immediately.

Since the film’s release in 2019, Honor has also shot the second part of this film, which also debuted at Cannes this year. (This is Honor and Swinton at the premiere of the memory part 2 July 8.) She also narrated a short post-production film titled Born again. In August 2019, Honor declared The Guardian that she was going to college to study forensic psychology, but that doesn’t mean she said goodbye to comedy. “I’m not ruling out anything,” Honor said. “I’m excited to try everything.”

Swinton appeared in Memory alongside Honor, and the young actor said it was great to have his mom with her for her first lead role. “It was the happiest thing to work with my mom,” Honor said. The Guardian. She added that “it came naturally,” but noted that their mother-daughter dynamic in the film varied widely from what the two share in real life. “It was hilarious because our relationship on screen was so different from our real relationship.”

Honor explained that she and her mother have “always been physically loving and close.” However, in the movie they had to play characters that didn’t have that, so Honor said that she and Swinton were “cuddling between takes, it was so much fun.”

Swinton also reprise his role with Honor in the memory part 2, in theaters this fall.

Honor says The Guardian that she and her twin brother Xavier are “best friends”. “I love him so much,” she added.

Xavier is also in the film industry, but he works behind the scenes of the art department. He has worked on iconic films including Star Wars: Episode IX – The Rise of Skywalker, Cruel, and F9: The quick saga.
