Chelsea Handler is not on board with former Minneapolis cop Derek Chauvin who was on trial in the May 2020 arrest and death of George Floyd.

The liberal comedian and talk show host made her position clear on Tuesday when the trial of Chauvin – who was seen on video holding his knee to Floyd’s neck for nearly nine minutes during the May 25 arrest – continued into its second day. .

“So pathetic that there is a lawsuit to prove that Derek Chauvin killed George Floyd when there is a video of him doing it,” Handler, 46, wrote as the trial resumed.

Chauvin, 45, faces second and third degree murder and manslaughter charges.

She subsequently rendered her judgment in response to a tweet on social media which supported our nation’s need for a trial process “or our justice system would be even more chaotic than it already is.”

However, the funny woman responded to the social media user in a follow-up tweet“Maybe we skip the trials when there is audio and video footage of the murder.”

Handler was immediately criticized for her remarks, as many of those who responded to her tweet said it was not in the best interests of democracy.

Handler has been outspoken for years about his view of the world. She stepped up her focus on political advocacy after her Netflix series “Chelsea” was canceled in 2017.

Much of Handler’s spontaneous remarks took place amid Donald Trump’s presidential campaign and his eventual tenure in the country’s top office.

The second day of Tuesday’s murder trial included further testimony from Donald Williams, a wrestler who said he was trained in MMA fights, including strangulation.

Williams began his testimony on Monday, when he described the restraint allegedly used by Chauvin as “blood strangulation”.

At the stand, Williams endured the tears as he continued with his description of his story, remembering how Floyd’s eyes “slowly rolled back”.
