Chevy Corvette C8RR Widebody Kit Adds Another Half Foot of Width

Sigala Designs are set to give the current Corvette a much more aggressive look with their C8 RR widebody kit. The upgrade includes 32 parts and the company charges $ 14,995 for the fiberglass components or $ 24,995 for carbon fiber. Sigala can even install parts for customers who are near the company’s store in San Diego, California.

Sigala’s kit adds a total of six inches of width to the Corvette’s body – three inches on each side. There is also a huge front splitter protruding from the lower edge of the fairing. A reshaped hood gains several vents. The front bumper is lengthened to attach to the wider fenders.

The enlarged front fenders have ventilated sections. The new rocker panels are separated into two sections, with a smaller one behind the front wheels and larger ones with upturned ends at the rear.

The tail has a massive wing that slopes backwards, and there are winglets on either side of the trunk lid. A new rear diffuser has a pointed shape and a step that conceals the upper part of the tailpipes.

Sigala also replaces the roof with a piece that has larger raised areas on either side. They lead to tiny vents on the back of the panel.

The overall effect of the body kit is certainly visually striking. It is to personal taste, however, whether this sharp-edged, heavily vented design matches the owner’s style.

The company already has a website that accepts pre-orders for the Widebody Kit. Deliveries are expected to begin this fall.

If you prefer a more aggressive Corvette straight from the factory, Chevrolet is just starting to tease the new Z06. Rumors suggest that the model uses a naturally aspirated V8 with two overhead camshafts and developing around 617 horsepower (460 kilowatts). The Z06 debuts this fall and is expected to hit the market in 2022.
