Chicago denounces controversial Texas laws with full-page Dallas newspaper ad to lure businesses north

CHICAGO (WLS) – Chicago is trying to lure Texas employees and employers here by denouncing the state’s controversial laws in a very unique way.

“World Business Chicago” runs a full-page ad in Sunday’s edition of “Dallas Morning News” that lists a few reasons Chicago is a “great place for business.”

But it also takes a hit in political battles in Texas over voting, abortion, and COVID.

The ad says Chicago believes in “every person’s right to vote,” “the protection of reproductive rights” and “science to fight COVID-19.”
