Chicago Fire 2, Minnesota United 0 | Summary of the match MLS 2019

With a 2-0 win over Minnesota United, the Chicago Fire are above the playoff line.

The club is now unbeaten in three, with two straight wins following New England's 5-0 defeat on Wednesday. Meanwhile, the Fools have only one win in their last six games.

Chicago opened the scoring with a counter-attack masterclass, coming from a defensive corner. They cleared their lines and went to the races, leading to the victory of Przemyslaw Frankowski for Nico Gaitan, after a skilful contact around Vito Mannone.

Aleksandar Katai doubled the lead of the match. The designated player took Ike Opara in 1v1, pushed the ball to the left and, from a tight angle, fired a shot in the depth, past Mannone, into the net. It was his second goal of the season.

It was not all good news for Chicago, however, since Gaitan suffered an apparent injury in the first period. The match was also Francisco Calvo's first against his former club since it was traded a little over a week ago.
