Chick-fil-A Director Helps Second World War Veteran Repair Punctured Tire After Walking in Tears

WAlthough he takes orders in a Chick-Fil-A Maryland, his manager, Daryl Howard, was approached by a 96-year veteran of the Second World War – who attends the restaurant about twice a week – with an unexpected request. The veteran, nicknamed "Mr. Lee" by staff, entered the facility almost in tears and said he had a puncture. Mr. Lee was able to park the vehicle, but needed help to drive.

Rudy Somoza, another store manager, told CNN that "[Mr. Lee] was shaking, almost in tears saying that he was just coming to the store with three tires because one was bad. "

After hearing the request of the veteran, Howard immediately hit the ground to help the man. The tire change took 15 minutes to Howard, but he did not know that his co-manager had taken pictures of his act of compassion.
