Veterans of the recently deceased American Football Alliance are starting to join the NFL.
One of the first to join the NFL is Keith Reaser, who signs with the Kansas City Chiefs, reported Thursday Rapoport, Ian Rapoport. ESPN first reported the signature.
Two days after the suspension of operations for an indefinite period, the AAF announced Thursday that all of its players were allowed to sign with the NFL teams.
Reaser played with the Orlando Apollos, who were at the top of the AAF standings at the time of his dissolution, in 2019. The cornerback had three interceptions in eight games with Orlando.
A fifth-round pick among the San Francisco 49ers in the 2014 draft, Reaser recently spent time with the Chiefs in 2017. In five NFL seasons, Reaser has played 30 games, forced two fumbles and bagged. Reaser recovered a fumble in the loss to the Tennessee Titans in July 2018, in the loss to Kansas City. The leaders released Reaser in September 2018.
