A few notes
- The Chiefs have made an effort to heal defensive lineman Chris Jones’ wrist by keeping him out of practice all week. It is officially listed as questionable for the game.
- Defensive end Frank Clark (hamstrings) was a full competing all week and he’s good at making his return to the roster, as is cornerback Rashad Fenton (concussion), who missed the last game of concussion protocol.
- Cornerback Charvairus Ward (quad) was a full participating on Wednesday and Thursday and was limit Friday. Downgrading participation status can sometimes be a bad sign, and Ward is officially questionable for the game.
- Where’s Willie Gay Jr.? The injury report always does not include Gay (toe), as he remains in the casualty reserve despite being designated to return. He must be put back on the list of 53 players to make the official injury report.
- Chiefs head coach Andy Reid had several status notes during his media meeting on Friday afternoon.
- Despite a long injury report, only three bills have questionable status – including linebacker Matt Milano (hamstring), who was injured in the Bills’ last game and now has lack all the workouts except one, Friday, while he limit.
- Rotational defensive end AJ Espinosa (foot) was added to the report midweek and is too questionable.
