At the conferences, Minnesota Vikings quarterback Kirk Cousins was named the NFC Offensive Player of the Week. In the Vikings’ 28-27 victory over the Carolina Panthers, Cousins posted huge numbers and clutch performance. Cousins completed 34 of 45 passes (75.6%) for 307 yards and three touchdowns with a rating of 115.7.
The AFC Defensive Player of the Week was won by Buffalo Bills linebacker AJ Klein for his efforts in his team’s 27-17 victory over the LA Chargers on Sunday. Klein had 14 tackles, three tackles for a loss, 1.5 sacks and one pass defended.
With the Atlanta Falcons posting a huge 43-6 upset over the Las Vegas Raiders, the defense certainly deserved praise and defensive end Jacob Tuioti-Mariner had it, as he was named the defensive player of the NFC week. Tuioti-Mariner has five tackles, one sack, two recovered fumbles and one forced fumble.
