FANGES will bring together terror and special effects this weekend

This Saturday, June 30 and Sunday, July 1 will be held the first edition of the Festival of fantasy and genre film of Santiago (FANGES), an event dedicated to celebrating the best of horror, mystery and the fantasy in short and feature films. 19659002] The event will feature various activities for participants led by course through exhibitions of various Chilean and foreign films and shorts. Some of these works are not yet published in Chile and will be exhibited exclusively as part of the contest organized by the event.

The winner of this challenge will receive a grant from the BioArte Makeup Academy, and the second place an FX makeup set from the Etinccelle Maquillaje store.

In addition to all this, there will be a fair with illustrators, artists and communities linked to the world of fantasy and terror.

FANGES will also recognize the career of Eduardo Saavedra, a Chilean artist of special effects who died in 2013 and recognized for his work in films like Kramer vs. Kramer Caleuche and Solos . In this sense, competing works that stand out in the field of special effects will receive the Eduardo Saavedra Award.

The Festival will begin its activities on Saturday, June 30 at 11:00. at the Santo Tomás Professional Institute, located at Av. Vicuña Mackenna 4835, San Joaquín.
