Havana, July 2 (RHC) Puerto Rican singer Andy Montañez will perform on July 8 at the Heredia Theater in Santiago de Cuba, as part of the XXXVIII Caribbean Festival.
The Karachi Orchestra, directed by Fernando Álvarez Caula, will accompany the beloved musician on the largest island in the West Indies.
Composer Rodulfo Vaillant, artistic director of the show, said that each of the members of the collective knew Andy's repertoire, and this counts in Karachi among the Cuban groups that he enjoys the most.
Montañez contacted the Cuban public for the first time in the eastern city, when he traveled with the Venezuelan Dimensión Latina Orchestra in 1981
. The Puerto Rican celebrates his 55-year artistic career with a varied show at the Jose Miguel Agrelot Coliseum in Hato Rey, Puerto Rico.
