After the exhibition of remarkable lyric productions, the Maule Regional Theater (TRM) is preparing to present one of the most famous works of the world, La Bohème.
The magic of Paris bohemian invites on the main stage of the region of Maule in collaboration with the work of Giacomo Puccini, La Bohème. This renowned opera will premiere on Thursday, November 15 and will be presented on Friday, November 16 at 8 pm at the Maule Regional Theater .
As is traditional, the team of this cultural space ends its season with the creation of a new opera for the region and the country. "This is a large production that involves about 200 people, complex to develop for a small team like ours and which has budgetary constraints that manage to escape thanks to the commitment of regional authorities and private companies", said Victoria Flores Monrreal. , Coordinator of the TRM Direction and Artistic Programming.
The booklet of this work was written in Italian by Giuseppe Giacosa and Luigi Illica, inspired by the collection of stories "Scenes of Bohemian Life", Henri's delivery work Murger published for five years in the newspaper El Corsario. The plot tells the story of a group of young Bohemians living in the Latin Quarter of Paris. Friends share friendship, illusions and loves.
Originally, this opera takes place in the night Paris of the first decades of the nineteenth century. However, the proposal of Rodrigo Navarrete, director of the latest productions of the TRM, will jump in time to capture the atmosphere of the city of light of the early twentieth century.
The musical direction will be entrusted to the famous Chilean musician, Francisco Rettig, whose mission will be to harmoniously couple various actors, such as the Maule Clbadical Orchestra, recognized soloists, an internal group and three choirs, one of white voices, a regional and another composed of singers from Santiago. Twenty extras have been added to the scene to bring this popular work to life.
TRM's lyric productions have been characterized by innovation in the incorporation of technologies on stage, in order to impact and bring new audiences to the genre, which has been applauded by the public and critics, marking a before and after on the national scene. This year will not be an exception since four 140-square-meter visuals are visible for Bohemia
The main story is that of Rodolfo, a poet who barely earns money to survive, and from Mimì, a modest couturier that makes artificial flowers. They fall in love just to see each other, but tragedy marks their destiny. These leading roles will be performed by the famous Chilean tenor based in Italy, Juan Pablo Dupré, and by the remarkable soprano Paulina González, who returns to the TRM after successful presentations.
The cast is completed by voices known on the national scene, such as Marcela González, Javier Weibel, Eleomar Cuello, Matías Moncada and Arturo Jiménez. For his part, Pablo Ortíz is the choir director; Patricio Pérez will develop the scenography; the lighting will be in charge of Ramón López; and the visuals will be developed by Álvaro Lara.
Tickets range from 10,000 to 30,000 pesos, are already on sale and can be purchased at the TRM box office or online, via the institution's website.
