The Democratic Revolution (DR) reacted Sunday night after the charges against the student and national coordinator of the party, Camilo Pérez Alveal in the report of T13 " Tenisgate, the mafia of paris ".

The journalistic investigation deepens the existence of an alleged network of bets and match-fixing that works in conjunction with domestic players. This, as a result of the sanctions imposed on the athletes Mauricio Álvarez and Cristóbal Saavedra imposed by the Integrity of Tennis Unit, which caused the suspicion of the betting establishments in the country.

The report revealed conversations – all anonymous – between tennis players and those who exhorted them to participate in an illegal gambling network, with mafias of Russian and Croatian origin.

In this context, the National Student Coordinator RD is accused of sending messages to a Chilean tennis player – who was not identified – for influence the outcome of a match.

Consulted directly by the team of T13 for this conversation, Camilo Pérez denied his participation.

RD reacted via his Twitter account and reported that they requested the resignation of Pérez as well as the freezing of their militancy while the facts were clarified.

"We will make known by the directive of the Supreme Court of our organization the antecedents so that appropriate measures are taken and we declare fully willing to collaborate with the relevant judicial procedures in the case an investigation would be opened, "announced the store Frente Amplio.

"We believe that in such cases justice must act without distinction and without regard to privileges of any kind", ended the game.

In his Twitter profile, Camilo Pérez describes himself as "a fanatic of tennis and journalism."
