As highlighted by the company's official platform, Chilean users will be able to add their Falabella CMR Visa credit card to make payment with Google Pay.
This tool works as software. who communicates with the commercial terminal via NFC technology. Once the customer has downloaded and configured their usage, they can start shopping by bringing their unlocked phone to [POS] contactless just like a contactless card.
Users residing in Chile will also be able to connect from the platform to loyalty systems of commercial stores such as Starbucks, Burger King, LATAM Chile, Subway, Hard Rock Cafe, Walmart Chile , Adidas or WOM.
Chile becomes the 27th country to have this modern method of payment. In South America, only Brazil had allowed it.
Edgardo Frías, General Manager of Google Chile, explained a few days ago that Google Pay "protects payment information with multiple levels of security."
"Our ecosystem is fully open and we work with hundreds of companies, banks and governments around the world to create simple and easy-to-use payment solutions."
It should be noted that the implementation of Google Pay's March has not been without problems. As stated by Google, some Huawei devices are not compatible with this system to pay in store.
