During a long discussion on the 2019 Finance Act, the House of Deputies on Tuesday rejected the reduction of spending reserved for carabinieri. It must therefore be resolved within a joint commission.

In particular, parliamentarians rejected this reduction by 57 votes in favor, 85 against and 2 abstentions.

In addition, upon the departure of the Ministry of Defense, the Chamber set amounts for the reserved expenses of 1,444 million pesos and a little more than two million dollars. In this sense, the Senate has reduced the figures to 502 million pesos and 170,000 dollars.
