At present, it is known that at least two characters involved in the Marvel film universe (MCU) have overcome this situation.
The novel confirms The Avengers: The War to Infinity: The Cosmic Quest, Vol. 2: The Consequences written by Brandon T. Sneider and this past Tuesday unveiled the cover and the back cover.

According to Sneider's account, it is the case of Dr. Erik Selvig (Stellan Skarsgard) and Darcy Lewis (Kat Dennings), published in Thor ( 2011) and Thor: The Dark World (2013).
These were colleagues from Jane Foster ( Natalie Portman ), key to Thor's first appearance.
We will see if these characters reappear in Avengers 4 a film that has not yet an official name but a date of premiere: April 26, 2019.
