In the teaser, we see that something is happening clearly. There is not much dialogue, but we can see three people (actors Bradley Walsh, Tosin Cole and Mandip Gill) that we do not know have seen anything out of the ordinary in various environments, such as when they are watching the laptop or are with friends. In one case, a new pizza comes out of nowhere and in another, "something" turns a newspaper into a comic. At the end of the teaser, we see Whittaker give a welcoming smile as the new doctor.

(By the way, anyone else that I wonder if he will continue to be "the doctor" or will he be "the doctor"? For this article, I will continue to call him "the doctor".)

the only thing we know about Whittaker's doctor, is that he seems to be excited by his new incarnation. When Peter Capaldi's doctor, the twelfth doctor, went into his new form, Whittaker smiled and said, "Oh, great!"

[19659007] In an interview with Entertainment Weekly Whittaker claimed that the new season of the series was full of "hope and wonder". Actress Mandip Gill, who plays Yasmin, one of the doctor's new companions, commented in the same interview that Whittaker's doctor was similar to the eleventh doctor, played by Matt Smith.

"He has an energy similar to Matt Smith's doctor," said Gill. "A lot of energy, Jodie has that as a doctor." [BBC]
