According to THR, Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson’s Seven Bucks Productions teams up with Netflix on a “family adventure” based on a single illustration by Alex Panagopoulos–one depicting a teddy bear physically defending a sleeping child from an invading monster. Titled Teddy and the night watchmen, the outlet reports that Josh Stolberg and Bobby Florsheim were hired to write a brand new screenplay following a Luke Passmore debut draft (Sworn enemy).

Amazon Studios has hired John wick‘s Derek Kolstad to write a live action film based on Kouta Hirano’s popular manga series, Hellsing. The series “reinvents Dracula as Alucard, a special agent linked to the Hellsing organization, under the leadership of Integra Hellsing, great-granddaughter of Abraham Van Hellsing, to aid them in their mission to protect England and the world of vampires, ghouls and other supernatural threats. You know, we always have conversations, and it’s a family, this whole bunch if there ever was. It’s hard to imagine or remember a time I was on a set where it’s just a beloved bunch of cast, crew, and actors and it’s just a of those things where we know we have a really big idea that we want to make it. We discussed it. There have been some conversations that we’re in the process of getting things done.
