SHENZHEN, China, Jan.22 (Reuters) – Chinese budget phone maker Honor has signed partnerships with big chip vendors such as Intel and Qualcomm after being separated from parent company Huawei Technologies in a bid to save last year, he said on Friday.
Huawei had sold Honor to a consortium of 30 agents and resellers of the sub-brand in November to help it resume supply of components restricted by US sanctions.
While chief executive George Zhao launched its first model phone since the split, Honor said in a statement that it now has its own deals with some tech companies.
