Chip and Joanna Gaines are stronger than ever.
The owners of the Magnolia brand have been married for just over 18 years and look back after reaching the major milestone, revealing that they never considered quitting.
“One thing I would say is that our superpower is that Jo and I are not dropouts,” Chip, 46, recently told Access Hollywood. “Throwing in the towel is not something that honestly comes to mind. “
He said that “at the start” of their relationship, they each felt that “divorce or separation is not really an option for us.”

“Somehow this little foundation has certainly served us well because things have been really tough – we’re not perfect and we have problems and trial and error like everyone else,” the star continued. “But I would say it’s funny when you say ‘throw in the towel’, in all honesty I would admit if we had considered it along the way.”
Chip assured fans that he and Joanna, 43, were “in it forever.”

The former HGTV star admitted that during a 2006-2010 “housing crisis” he and Joanna “had multiple opportunities to quit and throw in the towel” but it was not in their business. “DNA”.

“Jo and I show up every day and sometimes it’s right and sometimes not, but we keep putting one foot in front of the other,” he concluded.

Joanna also said she turned down an improved engagement ring that Chip gave her sometime after originally asking the question. The star told her that the original ring depicts “a guy working his butt so I can get this ring.”

“I don’t even remember what year it was, he said ‘I want to improve your diamond to something almost perfect, that perfect diamond. This can be our beautiful anniversary story,” she recalls. “And I said, ‘Don’t touch my diamond.'”
