A local chiropractor has been charged with four counts of murder for the murder of three men and one woman in a North Dakota property management company.
Chad Isaak, 44, suspected of involvement in the assassination of RJR Maintenance and Management in Mandan, near Bismarck, the state capital, was arrested on Thursday, according to Mandan police.
Isaak is a well-known chiropractor from Washburn, according to the NBC-affiliated channel KFYR.
He also lives in Washburn, about 35 km north of the company where the four were found dead on Monday, said Mandan Police Chief Jason Ziegler.
The investigators have not yet determined the motive for the murders, but the police chief said that Isaak was living on a property managed by RJR Maintenance and Management.
He was charged on Friday with four counts of murder, burglary, unauthorized entry and unauthorized use of a vehicle. If he is convicted, he faces a maximum life sentence without parole for each of the counts of murder.
A judge ordered his bond to be set at $ 1 million. The court records did not contain any information about Isaak's lawyers.
The four victims whose bodies were found on Monday were the co-owner of the management company, Robert Fakler, 52, and three employees: Adam Fuehrer, 42, Lois Cobb, 45, and her husband, William Cobb, 50 years old.
According to a statement by Mandan police, they died of stab wounds and gunshot wounds.
Police were able to identify the suspect's vehicle after watching surveillance videos for hours, the police said Thursday. Isaak was arrested at a roadside check and agents searched his vehicle.
"The evidence found on Isaak and in the vehicle provided a probable reason for placing Isaak under arrest for the murders," police said.
