Choo-Choo Charles is a horror game about an evil train, and the internet is all for it

This is the first line of the Steam description for Choo Choo Charles. That sums it up pretty well. Developer Two Star Games recently shared the game’s first trailer (below), in which a man is chased across an island by a nightmarish train with a clown’s face, and it seems to have been extremely well received. by fans on social media.

The principle of the game is relatively simple, even a little absurd. You play as a character navigating an island terrorized by a spider train with the face of a sensitive clown named Charles whose favorite pastime is to eat the flesh of puny humans. At your disposal, a small yellow engine comes equipped with its own customizable stats, exterior, and mounted machine gun.

The object of the game is to collect scrap metal, help the settlers, and ultimately upgrade your train to the point where you are ready to take on Charles and end his tyranny. However, it does not seem easy. Unlike the standard locomotives that we trust every day, Charles is not bound by the limitations of the tracks. Its spider-shaped legs leave little refuge across the country, and with a penchant for human flesh, you could be next on the menu.

The trailer itself will certainly induce a mixture of intrigue and concern, but that hasn’t stopped people from declaring their love for the concept even before the game’s release. One Twitter user praised the internet for having managed to convince someone to make a full-fledged game out of the inevitable Thomas the Tank Engine horror mods that appear several times a year. Others were already starting to declare it game of the year 2022.

While fans on Twitter are clamoring for the game’s release, the folks at Reddit already think they pulled off the Choo Choo Charles endgame:
