Earlier this week, the indie-pop trio CHRVCHES had some harsh words for the EDM producer and collaborator Marshmello follow his song with Chris Brown and Tyga.

Marshmello produced the song "Light It Up" with the two artists who both have a controversial past involving allegations of sexual abuse.

In one Twitter postThe group wrote: "We are really upset, confused and disappointed by Marshmello's choice to work with Tyga and Chris Brown. We love and respect Mello as a person, but working with people who are predators and attackers allows, excuses and ultimately tacitly endorses this behavior. This is not something we can or will defend. "

Brown's long list of controversies includes the assassination of his ex-girlfriend Rihanna, numerous charges of possession of weapons and an ongoing lawsuit over alleged rape in Paris.

Brown has now responded to the Glasgow crew with a rather embarrassing comment on the group's Instagram release.

"BUNCH OF LOSERS. This is the kind of people I would like to see walking in front of a fast bus filled with mentally ill people. Keep crawling on your own insecurities and hatred. IM BLACK AND PROUD. AND I KNOW ITS INJURIES THAT THE GUYS ARE ENCADED OF LIFE OR PEACE SO USEFUL TO SEE MY SUCCESS. You are not even # 2 (DO NOT FORGET, 2nd place only means you have lost first! TA-TA. FARMERS OF GOOD DAYS ".

The answer is about as mature as you might expect from someone who ridicules the accusers of sexual assault with a t-shirt.

The singer Lauren Mayberry of CHVRCHES has adopted a more weighted approach that seems to meet Brown on his personal page Instagram.

Mayberry said in his post, "Angry men on the Internet can call me any name they want." I still think that family violence is bad. Peace out, internet. Tomorrow is a new day. "

Not wanting to stir the pot too much, Tyga commented on the post with a decidedly dismissive comment. "Where all the children of God. Everyone makes mistakes, not perfect. Let's keep positive energy, "writes Tyga.

Marshmello still has not commented on the issue.
