The Seahawks took advantage of their mini-week to be healthy.

They trained on Tuesday after playing five days ago, and running back Chris Carson and cornerback Shaquill Griffin took part. The Seahawks aren’t required to release a practice report until Wednesday, so it’s unclear exactly how many each participated.

Carson has missed the last four games with a foot injury, and Griffin has missed the last four games with a hamstring injury.

“They came out today,” Seahawks coach Pete Carroll said. “They were doing all the usual practice activities today, so that was a good sign.”

Center Ethan Pocic was also back on the pitch for the first time on Tuesday after missing two games with a concussion.

Carroll said running back Rashaad Penny was getting closer to a comeback. Penny tore up her ACL in a Week 15 loss to the Rams last season.

“They won’t let him [practice] this week, but we’re getting ready to make the call here with him, ”Carroll said. “He’s very close. I wouldn’t think he [more than] in two weeks. There is a very good chance that we can have it [at practice] next week. He is really excited and feels great about it.
