WASHINGTON – President Donald Trump’s former confidant, former New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie, said on Sunday the president should end his legal battles by contesting the election results and cede to President-elect Joe Biden .

The Trump campaign continues to question the integrity of the election through a series of lawsuits in battlefield states.
On Saturday, a federal judge in Pennsylvania dismissed a lawsuit against Trump’s campaign to block that state’s certification of millions of votes. The judge’s decision is another brick in the crumbling edifice of Trump’s already distant attempt to invalidate enough ballots in enough states to reverse Biden’s election victory.
The Trump campaign and its allies have now lost or withdrawn more than 30 lawsuits that were part of that effort.
Trump campaign lawyer Sidney Powell listed a slew of fraud allegations in an interview on Newsmax TV on Saturday. Powell alleged that Republican Governor of Georgia Brian Kemp may have been involved in bribing officials, but gave no details.
“Sidney Powell accusing Governor Brian Kemp of a crime on television but not wanting to go on television and defend and expose the evidence she allegedly” is “outrageous conduct,” Christie said.
The former governor and federal prosecutor criticized Trump’s legal team as a “national embarrassment.”
