Chris Cuomo thanked Sean Hannity of Fox and Rachel Maddow of MSNBC for their support after the CNN host was filmed threatening someone from last week.

A man has confused Cuomo with "Fredo", a character from the movie The Godfather, while the CNN host was on vacation last week. In the movie, Fredo is the weakest and least intelligent of the Corleone brothers.

Cuomo took the reference as an insult, compared it to the use of the N-word and threatened to throw the man on the stairs. Cuomo's reaction was recorded in a video and he talked about it during his Monday show on his return from vacation.

"I do not know how I spent an afternoon on vacation and there is nothing to add, if it's not to thank you," Cuomo began. "Thank you to everyone who extended your hand, who sent messages, I appreciate it, including Mr. Hannity and Ms. Maddow."

"They acted as colleagues and not competitors, and I will not forget it.In fact, I will not forget it and I will use all comments because the key is that we can all be better, and it starts with me, "said Cuomo.
