Henry wrote a note in his father's car as he made his way to the stadium. Davis was moved. To date – April 13 – Davis had reached 62 consecutive appearances at the plate without success. The words of the young baseball fan resounded.

"When I started reading it, I got a little choked," said Davis, sitting next to Henry in the dugout. "But I just thought, you know what, today's day, and I'm going to put my note in my back pocket, I'm going to carry it with me." I had to go get two Ziplocs because I was sweating a lot. I threw it into two Ziploc bags, I put it in my back pocket.

Davis took the challenge in the first run and did something he had not done since September 14, 2018. He had a shot, reaching the first goal with the note in tow.

The Frascas did not know if Davis had actually received the letter. They asked the Orioles and from there a special meeting was organized. Davis wanted to get to know the child behind this inspiring note and invited Henry and his father to attend Saturday's game, the first Oriole Series at Fenway Park since April.

Henry had the full experience of Major League Saturday. Davis greeted him in the Orioles canoe and took him on a private tour of the clubhouse, where he received a t-shirt and hat. The pre-game experience reminded Davis of the excitement he felt as a child went to games and saw Major League players. It was an afternoon that neither Davis nor Henry will forget.
