Avengers star Chris Hemsworth was called to play Hulk Hogan in a future film about the wrestler's life. The hangover Director Todd Phillips will guide the film, which is currently being planned with Netflix, The Hollywood journalist reports.

But can the popular Thor actor really capture the essence of the famous wrestler at his top Hulkamania? The imminent biopic about Hogan – whose real name is Terry Bollea – should focus on his beginner career in the fight, giving up on recent events.

Hogan, himself a casual actor who played in Thunderlips, the enemy of Sylvester Stallone, in 1982 Rocky III, first made known as a wrestler during this decade, quickly becoming one of the biggest stars of the World Wrestling Federation (now WWE).

The film sees again Phillips teaming up with Scott Silver, the writer who is currently working with The hangover director on the Joker original film. It will be produced by Phillips and Hemsworth with Michael Sugar, Eric Bischoff and Bradley Cooper.

The Hulk Hogan biopic is expected to be in the early stages of production, but other co-producers, Michael Sherman and Steve Desmond, have also been revealed. An exit date for the movie has not yet been specified.
