Netflix’s highly anticipated offering, “Selena: The Series,” was dropped on Friday and the late star’s husband Chris Perez has finally shared his thoughts on it.

On Thursday, the former lead guitarist of the band Selena y Los Dinos wrote a long post about Selena Quintanilla and her music.

“Alright, here’s my take on it. I loved his music even before I joined the band. I was intrigued that his brother had his name on everything as a producer. Keyboardist Ricky Vela was my hero when it comes to music His dad made an amazing sound when I went to see them at an event in San Antonio, ”he wrote.

“I learned so much taking the roles of their guitarist Roger Garcia and doing my best to stretch it even more. They had a drummer daughter who put it all down (Suzette is a really badass),” Perez continued.

“I’m not trying to be part of nothing,” he revealed. “At the end of the day, we all have our take on certain things and how things went. I have already released everything I wanted. I don’t want to say much more, and that’s God’s honest truth.
