Chris Rock revealed he was diagnosed with coronavirus in a post urging his Twitter followers to get the shot.
The comedian, 56, took to Twitter on Sunday to share a rudimentary message with his more than 5 million followers, announcing both that he had tested positive for COVID-19 and encouraged them to get vaccinated against the potentially fatal disease.
“Hey guys, just found out I have COVID, trust me you don’t want that. Get vaccinated”, Roche wrote.
The star did not go into detail on how he felt, but given the terrible warning he gave to his followers, it seems like he is at the very least feeling some sort of unease or illness.

Rock’s coronavirus diagnosis comes after the former “Saturday Night Live” actor revealed months ago on “The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon” that he was fully vaccinated, making him one of many groundbreaking cases of COVID-19 spreading across the country among vaccinated people.
“I’m two shots Rock, that’s what they call me,” he joked before noting that he actually received the Johnson and Johnson vaccine which only requires one shot .
“These are the vaccine food stamps,” he joked.

‘Saturday Night Live’ star Chris Rock has revealed he has tested positive for the coronavirus, making him the latest star with a breakthrough vaccine case.

The CDC reported in June that it had followed about 4,115 patients with breakthrough cases of the COVID-19 vaccine who were hospitalized or died. Of these cases, 26% of hospitalizations were reported as asymptomatic or unrelated to COVID-19, and 19% of the 750 deaths were reported as asymptomatic or unrelated to COVID-19.
In studies, Pfizer and Moderna’s two-dose COVID-19 vaccines were about 95% effective in preventing disease, while Johnson & Johnson’s one-shot vaccine was 72% effective, although direct comparisons are difficult. So although vaccines are very effective in protecting us from the virus, it is still possible to get infected with mild or no symptoms, or even get very sick.
