Chris Rock says he tested positive for COVID-19: ‘Get vaccinated’

Chris Rock has revealed he has tested positive for COVID-19 – and uses his diagnosis to encourage others to get vaccinated.

In a tweet posted on Sunday, the 56-year-old comedian told fans he “had just found out I had COVID.”

Comedian David Allen Grier, with whom Rock worked during his run as a special guest on In Living Color in the early 90s, was among those who sent their wishes.

Although the star did not say if he has the Delta variant, he is fully vaccinated. In May, Rock joked during several talk show appearances about cutting the line to speed up his shot.

” I did not care. I used my celebrity, Jimmy, ”he told Jimmy Fallon during a visit to the Tonight show. “I was like, ‘Step back, Betty White. Stand aside, old folks … I did it Pootie Tang. ‘”

He also nicknamed himself “Two-Knock Rock,” before clarifying that he had in fact received the single-dose Johnson & Johnson vaccine.

Last week, Rock surfaced on Amy Schumer’s Instagram, where he was seen posing with the Rail accident star ancient SNL his teammate Tim Meadows and talent manager Guy Oseary.
