The injury interrupts a burning stretch for Taylor. Charged to replace Corey Seager at the short stop when Seager stretched her buttocks last month, Taylor beat .380 with a 1.074 percentage on base plus slugging in 24 games in the absence of Seager. Seager returned Friday after the All Star break, transferring Taylor to his typical utility role. Taylor, 28, is averaging .261 with .787 in 90 games this season.
