Teigen and her two children with singer / actor John Legend adorn the new cover of People’s “Beautiful” issue.
The famous mom told the post “I am an open and free spirit and love that children are children” and explained how she and Legend are raising their daughter Luna, 4, and their son Miles, 2.
“For us, cuteness is such a big thing. When you meet our kids they are very warm and friendly,” Teigen said. “You instill these things in them, but let them for the most part be creative and wonderful and spiritual and curious.”
The former model is now the mogul of a growing business that includes cookbooks, household items, and an upcoming restaurant.
But home life is very important to Teigen, who married Legend in 2013 after meeting on the set of one of his music videos seven years earlier.
“I always knew I wanted to be a mom and a wife, but when it came to my job, I never knew exactly where I stood or what I could do,” she said. “I am very proud to have brought together all these talented people, and the amount of love and comments [we’ve gotten] with desires [her brand] makes me so happy. “
Teigen also discussed the loss of her son Jack to the family last year due to pregnancy complications.
“I learned how strong a body can be physically and mentally,” she says. “I learned how strong I am.”
And she looks forward to the future.
“I can’t wait to see John and I salt and pepper next to him with my silver hair,” Teigen said. “I can’t wait for our kids to be, hopefully, the kind of kids who come every weekend for Sunday dinner.”
