Chrissy Teigen slammed for ‘muffled’ inaugural tweet

Chrissy Teigen can’t do anything right these days.

The former Sports Illustrated model is on social media again – this time to support her husband John Legend who has been invited to perform at President Joe Biden’s inauguration ceremony.

The stacked lineup – which includes Garth Brooks, Jennifer Lopez, Lady Gaga and Bruce Springsteen, among many others – recorded their acts Tuesday for television audiences on Wednesday.

But despite the star-propelled presidential transition, not everyone was thrilled with the celebrity caravan in Washington – with the city still reeling from the riot on Capitol Hill on January 6.

On Tuesday, Teigen, a staunch supporter of Biden during the election, tweeted about her family’s excitement for their trip to the White House: “Good packaging for the grand opening.” the 35 year old man wrote, with a photo of her son Miles sporting an impractical oily lip before the event.

But a few followers have found their happiness offensive.

“Hey Chrissy DC, residents aren’t very ‘happy’ right now and can’t even ‘pack’ their cars to get to the grocery store due to the military condition the city is in, but yes , LOL fell especially in pandemic. How happy it is !!! ” tweeted @staceybrnan.

When another fan pointed out that Teigen and his family weren’t involved in the assault on the Capitol, @staceybrnan doubled down calling the author of the “Cravings” cookbook “deaf” for traveling to Washington – “when John is doing a concert, no one will even be able to see.

“Everything is privilege and really downplays what DC is going through,” she said.

Viewers will be able to watch the singer’s show “Ordinary People” – tonight on multiple television networks as well as social media platforms. But @staceybrnan won’t.

“Why couldn’t he do a virtual performance and why does his whole family have to go when no one can move around town?” she asked. “She should turn on the television,” she concluded, referring to Teigen and her family.

Then Teigen stepped in again. “For the love of f – – ks why are you still still mad at me,” she lamented. “All I want is to make you happy or at least leave you with a neutral feeling of indifference.

Many fans, including DC residents, have come to Teigen’s defense against DC’s privilege watchdog.

“Please do not speak for DC residents. Thank you, ”said @ZeroACento.

“Some people just choose to be absolutely mean for no reason,” @ aliberk65 replied in the wire. “I pity them. I pity those who must be around them. So much hate in their hearts.

“This is a unique opportunity and a historic moment. She has the ability to see her children witness the very first biracial woman – someone like them! – become the VP! They will always remember it. I live in DC and it sucks. [Don’t] cast your anger on her, ” added @kerirulz.

Teigen doesn’t seem to let criticism get to him – and she’s just as thrilled to see Biden sworn in as the 81 million other Americans who voted for him.

And, just like us, she’s also super excited for J.Lo.

In a series of videos she shared while watching events unfold outside her Washington hotel window on Wednesday morning, she exclaimed, “Latest news, latest news: it’s J.Lo and A.Rod!”
