Christina Anstead, HGTV star, ate her placenta after the birth of her son

Christina Anstead lets fans join her on her postpartum journey.

The HGTV star, who gave birth to her son Hudson last week, revealed on social networks that she was consuming her placenta in pill form.

"The first time I try it – and I think placenta encapsulation [pills] are working, "wrote the 36-year-old woman on her Instagram account.

The Story also featured her newborn son, Andstead's first child with her husband Ant Anstead. Both have two children from previous marriages.

The couple announced the birth of Hudson on September 6th.

"Ant and I are delighted to welcome Hudson London Anstead to the world.Our heart is so filled with love and joy! Our healthy baby was born this morning – 9/6/19 – 7 pounds 7 oz 19.5 inches long, "the star" Flip or Flop "wrote.

The two children of Antstead, whom she shares with her ex-husband Tarek El Moussa, met their youngest brother the day after hosting his proud parents.

"Frankly and perfectly captured by the meeting of Tay and Bray with baby Hudson yesterday – just a little excited," she said on the picture of them smiling at the baby.

On Saturday, Hudson made her first outing when Christina took the newborn to the Taylor football game.
