Christina Anstead is still so close to Tarek El Moussa’s family

Christina Anstead and her Flip or Flop Co-star Tarek El Moussa married for seven years before making the decision to separate in 2016 – but even then they knew they would never be out of each other’s lives for good. . On the one hand, they had welcomed two children together, their son Brayden and their daughter Taylor, and were determined to make their separation as smooth as possible for their own good. But they were also co-workers, longtime friends, and partners – and since her divorce from Tarek and split earlier this year from Ant Anstead, Christina has remained close to Tarek’s family and committed to raising their children with more family, not less, following their separation. On an Instagram Live, Christina gave a glimpse of a day in her life and it was immediately clear why having a close relationship with Tarek’s family was so important.

In an Instagram Live for The Wellness Remodel with nutritionist Cara Clark, Christina quickly explained why we had a view of her tub in the background.

“I’m hiding from everyone,” she said. “Tarek’s mom is watching the kids today because they’re not in school and then I have Hudson and the nanny.

Hudson is Christina’s one-year-old son with Ant, while his children with Tarek, Brayden, 5, and Taylor, 9, clearly needed more child care than usual when schools closed, whether for the holidays or for other COVID outbreaks. As all parents with driving distance grandparents know, an extra set of hands to help with childcare is a godsend these days, so we’re not at all surprised that Christina and Tarek’s mom spend a lot of time together. Christina, taking Zoom’s calls in the bathroom and looking a bit exhausted, needs all the support she can get as she is now juggling two co-parenting relationships. The good news is, she has a lot of them.

“2020 has obviously been a really strange, really difficult and scary year,” Christina said. “But what I’m going to do is look back on 2020 and find the little things that I learned from it… because I learned many.“

We’re sure she did – but when it comes to having a big blended family, maybe she has something to teach the rest of us.
