Television veteran Christina Applegate has been diagnosed with multiple sclerosis, the actress explained Tuesday morning.
“Hi friends. A few months ago I was diagnosed with MS. It was a weird trip,” Applegate written in a tweet. “But I’ve been so supported by people I know who also have this condition. It’s been a tough road. But as we all know, the road goes on. Unless a hole blocks it.
In one second tweet, she continued, “As a friend of mine with MS said, ‘we wake up and take the indicated action.’ And that’s what I do. So now I ask for confidentiality. as I go through this thing.
Applegate was previously diagnosed with early breast cancer in 2008, but recovered after undergoing a double mastectomy.
The actress is currently playing on Netflix Dead to me, which is in production for its third and final season; Applegate’s turn as grieving widow Jen Harding on the series earned her two Emmy nominations for Best Leading Actress in a Comedy Series. She is also best known for Married … with children, up all night and Samantha who?, the latter of which also earned her Emmy nominations for Leading Actress in a Comedy in 2008 and 2009.
