Those who followed Sell Sunset know that Jason Oppenheim of the Oppenheim group has a serious romantic affair with Mary Fitzgerald. Fitzgerald marries his French partner, Romaine Bonnet, on the show. But now Christine Quinn, the real estate group’s pot shaker, has mentioned something about how Fitzgerald and Oppenheim are still in love.

Since the beginning of Sell Sunset, fans know that Fitzgerald and Oppenheim dated for about a year. And they seem to have left things on a high note. Fitzgerald and Oppenheim seem totally comfortable with each other, and they even take care of their dogs together.
So why did the two break up? It’s still not clear – and it looks messy. “[The break up is] probably more about me, ”Oppenheim explained on the show. “We were good friends before, but we’re much closer now.”
Fitzgerald then added that after the breakup, the two have continued to this day – although all bets appear to be off now. Today they are the best friends in the world, at least that’s what they claim.
“The truth is, my three ex-girlfriends are currently three of the closest friends in my life, Mary being my best friend,” Oppenheim told Express. “I never did anything to disrespect anyone and nobody did anything to disrespect me, so at the end of the day when it didn’t work out, it isn’t because someone cheated … it just got to the point where the relationship didn’t go any further and we just broke up.
Fitzgerald married Romaine Bonnet, as seen on the show
The show follows Fitzgerald’s romance with Romaine Bonnet. Bonnet is more than a decade younger than Fitzgerald, and Fitzgerald’s colleagues were concerned their age gap might not work for Bonnet projects for children in the future. But the two lovebirds continued anyway and had a beautiful, sincere ceremony.
While there is noticeable tension between Fitzgerald and Bonnet in the Season 3 series, it seems the two still make their relationship work. Life & Style reported in August 2020 that Bonnet and Fitzgerald are happier than ever as they are barely 10 months into their relationship.
“Looks like yesterday I was walking down the driveway towards Romain on the Doheny property,” Fitzgerald told Life & Style. “Married life has been so busy! We work tirelessly. Even though the rest of the world is in quarantine, it looks like we can’t take a break! Romain is at the door at 6.30am every morning for work.
Christine Quinn thinks Oppenheim and Fitzgerald aren’t really each other
While Fitzgerald seems genuinely happy, Quinn thinks something else might be brewing beneath the surface. Quinn and Fitzgerald were best friends in the first season of Sell Sunset, but they had a breakup right around Fitzgerald’s wedding. And it looks like Quinn suspects Oppenheim and Fitzgerald still have feelings for each other.
Yahoo reports that Quinn told the Not skinny but not fat podcast that Quinn and Fitzgerald “have this really strong relationship and connection” and “have a very different bond than they always had.” Quinn then dropped an additional bomb adding, “I think they’re both in love with each other.”
Quinn’s comment could have been a serious dropper – but she tried to play it down after saying it. “In a platonic way,” she added.
It does not appear that Bonnet and Fitzgerald will separate from Oppenheim soon. But we’ll watch to see how it all continues to unfold Sell Sunset.
