Another familiar face comes back in the James Bond franchise, as confirmed by sources Variety that Christoph Waltz will resume his role as super villain Blofeld in "Bond 25".

Waltz first appeared in Bond's latest picture, "Specter", as an iconic villain who had previously been portrayed by Donald Pleasance, Max von Sydow and Telly Savalas in previous installments of the franchise.

The film is currently shooting in London and Waltz is one of the actors returning to their roles, including star Daniel Craig, Ralph Fiennes, Lea Seydoux and Naomie Harris.

"Bond 25" is directed by Cary Joji Fukunaga and co-stars Rami Malek, Ana De Armas, Lashana Lynch, David Dencik, Billy Magnussen, Dali Benssalah, Jeffrey Wright, Ben Whishaw and Rory Kinnear. When filming in Jamaica, Craig suffered ankle injury and had to take a two-week break after filming. He is also ready to travel to Italy and Norway.

Production experienced another sharp decline when an explosion in a scene at Pinewood Studios in June injured a member of the team.

The film is scheduled for release in the United States via Universal on April 3, 2020 and in the United States via United Artists Releasing on April 8, 2020.

The waltz has recently been seen in Fox's "Alita: Battle Angel" and "Georgetown". It is taken over by ICM Partners.

The Guardian first reported the casting of Waltz.
