Christopher Bell, Justin Haley leads the Xfinity series practices in Indianapolis

Christopher Bell (53,502 seconds) and Justin Haley (53,499 seconds) led the two NASCAR Xfinity Series workouts on Friday, Sept. 6 from Indianapolis Motor Speedway.

First practice

Joe Gibbs Racing was among the top three in the IMS speed ranking. Championship leader Bell led the pack at 168.218 mph. He completed 18 laps in this session, his 14th lap being his best time.

The second fastest time was Brandon Jones, who missed the fast pace of 0.001 seconds. He always drove his # 19 Toyota around the track at a speed of 168.215 mph.

Kyle Busch was third, with Michael Annett and Ryan Sieg in the top five.

Final practice

The final tries allowed Joe Gibbs Racing's three drivers to be in the top 10, but Haley, from Indiana, rode the pack with a speed of 168.227 mph.

Tyler Reddick was second with Jones, Austin Dillon and Busch completing the top five.

The only incident in the final practice involved Michael Annett. He suffered damage on his No. 1 Chevrolet JR Motorsports and he was unhappy with the action on the track.

Annett was 13th faster and her team was working on repairing her car.

2019 Indiana Final Practice Results 250

The Xfinity series will qualify tomorrow at 12:05. AND, and the Indiana 250 has to start at 3 pm. AND. Both events will be broadcast on NBC Sports Network.
