Chrome Story has found a new interesting feature in the book for Chrome OS 76 called "send to self." Basically, it's a simple way to send the URL of a web page from your Chromebook to another device with the Chrome browser.
The flag to activate it, along with other associated flags, can be activated by opening chrome: // flags / then looking for the term "send":
Although Chrome Story has tested this on the Canary channel of Chrome OS 76, I see it on one of my devices running the development channel. And it works as expected.
When you click in the address bar of a web page, a small icon representing a laptop and a phone appears. Click on it and you can then choose the supported devices that will receive the URL. Seconds later, you should see the URL on this device. in my case, it's Pixel 3XL.
By tapping on the notification, my phone opens the Chrome browser directly on the page that I shared. Although my Pixel Slate and Pixel 3XL are both on the same Wi-Fi network in this example, I tested this connection via an LTE connection on my phone and it worked in exactly the same way, as you expected.
I do not yet see a way to send web pages in the other direction, namely: from a phone to a Chromebook or to another device with Chrome browser. I think that would also be useful. I hope Google is working on such a feature.
