An armed customer who witnessed a robbery at a fried chicken restaurant in Texas last week leapt into action – fatally killing one armed suspect and injuring the other, according to reports.
The wild scene took place at Church’s Chicken in Port Arthur around 8:45 p.m. Friday, KDFM reported.
The duo of crooks fled the fast foot restaurant after being shot. But they were quickly located and one died in an area hospital, police said.
The other suspect should recover.
Police said the armed citizen remained at the scene and was questioned by police before being released, Fox News reported.
No charges against the surviving suspect were immediately announced.
Investigators are investigating a possible link between Friday’s chaos and a theft from a nearby Jack in the Box a day earlier.
