After several days without new measles activity in the Clark County epidemic, health authorities announced that they were studying four new suspected cases of the disease.
Since the beginning of the year, 65 cases of measles have been confirmed in Clark County, four in Multnomah County and one in King County.

The symptoms of measles begin with a mild fever, a cough, a runny nose and red eyes, followed by a rash.
If you or your child show signs of measles, call your health care provider before coming so that they can limit the exposure of anyone else in the waiting room.
According to the CDC, one dose of MMR vaccine is 93% effective, while two doses of the vaccine are 97% effective.
Children usually receive the first MMR vaccine for 1 to 15 months and the second dose for 4 to 6 years.
