CLARKSVILLE, Tennessee (WTVF) – Clarksville tops the list of the best places to live in the United States in Money Magazine in the United States.
Personal Finance Magazine has compiled a list of 100 cities, towns and neighborhoods in which you should "and can afford to settle down". Clarksville has risen to the top of the list because of its economy and cost of living.
"Clarksville, Tennessee, may not be on your radar yet, but that should be it. For the millennial generation that settles there, the city of about 160,000 is a place where they can afford to locate, according to Money Magazine.
Money Magazine also says that the average age is 29 years old.
"It's clear that we're talking about Clarksville," said Mayor Joe Pitts. "This great honor from Money magazine reinforces what we have known about our community for a long time. Clarksville is a great place to buy a house, find a job, start a business and send your kids to reputable schools. "
Bellevue was also on the list at 31 and Bowling Green at 39.
