Clayton, North Carolina – Clayton Police are investigating a second homicide this week after a man was found dead by Highway 70.
The man found dead has not been identified by police. Authorities say he is Hispanic and was found wearing a green Hollister t-shirt with blue jeans. He is around 5 feet, 8 inches tall and around 150 pounds.
US Highway 70 West was closed for several hours while authorities searched the area extensively.
Investigators believe, based on body and crime scene evidence, that it was possible the man was killed in a possible hit and run homicide.
Police are looking for a red Chevrolet Silverado / GMC Sierra 2-door or extended cab model, year 1999-2007.
The truck could have damage to the front or side area of the vehicle.
