Dabo Swinney, twice national head coach of the Clemson University football team, spoke with Fox News presenter Ed Henry to talk about his career debut, of his career and the way he got his name.

Swinney is from Alabama and he explained that he dreamed of going to the University of Alabama, where he joined the football team and, after graduating, eventually became assistant coach of Crimson Tide.
"I went to Alabama at the age of 18. First graduate of my family. First in the history of my family – parents, grandparents, great-grandparents, the trip was amazing. I went there as any 18-year-old teenager who knew absolutely nothing in the world and who had not seen anything outside of Mississippi, Florida, Alabama and the United States. of Tennessee, "said Swinney.
After the 2000 football season, Swinney declared that he had experienced one of the most important moments of his life when he had lost his job in Alabama and had been facing a career change .
Swinney told Henry: "I ended up going to work for an old coach and I started real estate development, building shopping centers and renting premises."

"I have learned some of the most valuable lessons of my life. The first is that I could succeed by doing something else, so I had to coach because that's what I chose to do, not what I have to do. And there is a freedom that comes with that, "he replied.

Finally, Swinney received a call from Tommy Bowden, Clemson University football coach at the time, who called to ask if he would like to resume his coaching duties.
Swinney accepted the position and in 2008, he was faced with another major career change, when Bowden was released.
Henry pointed out: "A door opens, when he was fired, unfortunately, and suddenly, you are the head coach."
"Basically, I spent 7 weeks on the test. I like to tell everyone that I was a walker, who got a scholarship, and a walking coach who got the job. And that's how I think about myself. "
