Cleveland mayor’s grandson shot dead, report says

Cleveland Mayor Frank Jackson’s 24-year-old grandson was shot and killed in the city on Sunday, according to the Cleveland Plains Dealer, citing law enforcement sources.

The newspaper reported that Jackson was with other city officials at the scene of the shooting in the city’s Kinsman neighborhood. The shooting victim has been identified as 24-year-old Frank Q. Jackson. The mayor’s office did not immediately respond to an email from Fox News seeking comment.

The newspaper said no arrests had been made and that there were several agencies at the scene of the shooting.

“The Cleveland Police Homicide Division is investigating the shooting death of Frank Q. Jackson, 24, today at Sidaway & E. 70th St. at around 9 pm,” police tweeted. “Anyone with information regarding this matter is asked to call 216-623-5464.”
