A director of Burger King Florida was informed by a client that he should "return to Mexico" if he wanted to speak Spanish to a restaurant employee, according to local media.

The video-recorded exchange, posted on social media, shows two women confronting director, Ricarado Castillo, in front of a Burger King in Eustis, about 40 km north of Orlando.

"You are in America, you should speak American English," said one of the women in Castillo.

He said, "Guess what, ma'am, I'm not a Mexican, I'm not a Mexican, but you're very forewarned and I want you to leave my restaurant right now."

The woman continued saying, "Yes, yes, go back to Mexico if you want to continue speaking Spanish, go back to your Mexican country, your state, your country."

"You are very ignorant and disrespectful, have a good day and get out of my restaurant," Castillo told women, according to NBC affiliate WESH 2 News.

Client Neyzha Borrero recorded the July 6 exchange and mailed it to a private group on Facebook. Borrero told CNN that Castillo, of Puerto Rican descent, was preparing documents at a table near the women when one of his employees approached him and spoke to him in Spanish.

After the departure of the worker, the women told Castillo that they wanted to complain, the manager having first offered to give them a credit or a free dessert, thinking that they would not. They were not satisfied with their food. Instead, they told him that he should not speak Spanish in public because "we are in the United States".
