Clifford the big red dog sat like a good boy waiting to be unleashed in theaters in September. Unfortunately, the growing cases of the Delta variant of COVID-19 have prompted Paramount Pictures to reconsider a theatrical release for the family film. In Canada, distribution rights belong to eOne rather than Paramount Pictures, and as of yet, it is unclear whether the film will still screen at the festival. Now the question is whether Paramount Pictures will wait to be released. Clifford the big red dog at a later date. After all, it’s possible Paramount Pictures will send the film to Paramount +, following in Nickelodeons’ footsteps.
